The Movie Think Like a Man Act Like a Lady UPDATE!

Ladies and Gents I give the movie
Think Like A Man, Act Like A Lady a perfect 10!
My abs are still hurting from Kevin Harts rants about being divorced and over his wife played by Wendy Williams.
The women are tired of men.... and always having the same results with their relationships with me, which really are NO results (is that good English lol ohh well)

So the women see Steve Harvey on Oprah and he is talking about his book and the women in the audience ask Steve questions, the single women...Megan Good, Gabrielle Union, & Taraji P. Henson, all want better results...well Taraji seems like she is too strong to go for that crap....but she gives in! To taking the advice Steve Harvey gives in his book Think Like A Man, Act Like a Lady.... like the chirp chirp rule....or the 90 day rule.......
Ok I'm not going to spoil this for you, lets just say I laughed the whole movie!
Ladies HAVE Fun (wink wink*) Gents we, got our eyes on y'all...don't make any sudden moves...lol
I will purchase this movie and watch it again... I was laughing so hard I missed stuff cause I didn't hear it. let me know your thoughts!

Stay Fabulous,

KOKO

Hey everyone I am still alive I am going to see Steve Harvey's Think like a man today...

I also was inspired by a movie made by some local peeps called
                                                              Generation Me!
This movie had me laughing the whole time! Its a story about a girl Malia, who gets obsessed with her boyfriends social network page, because some other woman is stalking his page. She goes from the mindset my relationship is secure to..... OMG I am loosing my man to some stripper. This movie is filled with beautiful people, and great writing, this movie is totally for this generation and time. There is a moral to the story BUT..............................................................................
you have to see it to get it.
The movie is now available on DVD here http://www.lifesontheline.com/

you can see the trailer here http://youtu.be/W0XOlOKlGxs
below is what DJ Hella Yella had to say about the movie

Writer/director Ericka Marsalis-LaManna is taking her latest project Generation Me to the big screen in 2011. Generation Me is a full length, semi-romantic comedy about dating in the age of social networking. Specifically this film is about a singer named Malia who gets into some comedic relationship troubles via the Internet.

"Woman Thou Art Loosed: On the 7th Day" is the second installment in T.D. Jakes' eponymous "Woman Thou Art Loosed!" film franchise. The film will be released on April 13, 2012 in select AMC independent™ locations nationwide.
Pastor, Entrepreneur and Filmmaker, T.D. Jakes proudly presents the second installment in his thought-provoking Woman Thou Art Loosed! film franchise entitled, Woman Thou Art Loosed!: On the 7th Day. "On the 7th Day" is a dramatic thriller starring Golden Globe(R) Nominee Blair Underwood (Madea's Family Reunion, Set It Off) and Sharon Leal (Why Did I Get Married Too?, This Christmas). Woman Thou Art Loosed!: On The 7th Day is a compelling story that unites love, suspense and faith into one heart-wrenching package. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Neema Barnette (Civil Brand), Woman Thou Art Loosed!: On the 7th Day underscores the impact of secrets, lies and deception on the lives of the featured characters. David (Underwood) and Kari (Leal) Ames seem to have the perfect life until their young daughter is kidnapped, and over the course of seven days they begin to uncover secrets about their past that threaten to rip their marriage and lives apart.

The number seven is very significant and metaphoric in the film, symbolizing completion and its special meanings throughout the Bible. Call it what you may, creation, revelation or luck, but all three definitions encompass the essence of the story "Woman Thou Art Loosed: On the 7th Day.

Actress Mikala Gibson

Mikala and her husband and writer/director of Wolf  Ya'Ke Smith
Beautiful couple!

Hey Guys! this woman is phenomenal! She is beautiful, talented, and smart....
she was just in the movie WOLF.
You can watch the trailer here.
                                                       http://vimeo.com/36292137

I saw this movie at SXSW. I was thoroughly impressed by the topic, the acting, and the emotions. Mikala shocked me with her role as the abused boys mother...I felt what she felt, mad, sad, angry, joy, hopeful...ahhh I just am so proud of her and her husband.
This movie tells the story of a boy, a mom, a dad, the abuser, the abused, the family, the church! I don't want to give it all away this is what the caption says..

"WOLF is the feature film debut from award winning writer/director Ya'Ke Smith. It tells the story of a family that is shaken to the core when they discover that their son has been molested."

I know Mikala personally and she has the hugest heart, and beautiful smile! I interviewed Mikala and I wanted to share what this talented lady has to say and share about acting, The movie Wolf, and future roles.  We are so proud of you Mikala! Keep up the great job you are inspiring...you are living your dreams May God continue to bless and cover your path!!!
Love
KOKO

I asked Mikala 11 questions enjoy!!!
1. How did you know you wanted to be an actress?
When I was younger I spent a summer with my grandparents and came across my late aunt's theater text books, journals and portfolio. After that I started to explore acting and theater, but it wasn't until I was a teenager that I knew that this was something I really wanted to do. I don't know how to describe this discovery. I just loved acting. I could rehearse all day and not complain. I always wanted to go to plays and films and observe other artists at work. It consumed me. I truly believe that I was called to do what I do.

2. What is your dream role?
I would love to play Goneril in King Lear. Other than that I really do not have a dream role.
Who would you love to work with?
I admire Phylicia Rashad, Daniel Day-Lewis, Sean Penn, Viola Davis, Denzel Washington, Rodrigo Garcia and so many others. There are so many people that I would be honored to work with.

3. Why should people see "Wolf"?
People should see Wolf because it is a wonderful film that will take you on an incredible journey and hopefully after this journey it will ignite conversations that many have been avoiding. Be a part of the conversation and go see the film!
4. What is your favorite part of "Wolf"?
My favorite scene in Wolf is the baptismal scene. It is a pivotal scene in the story that reveals the cycle of abuse. It humanizes a character that most people will villanize up to that point. It illustrates how abuse is transferred from one generation to the next.

5. How can we support "Wolf'?
The best way to support Wolf is to spread the word. Post about it on facebook and tweet about it on twitter. Send emails. Share the screening times with your friends and COME SEE THE FILM!!!

6. Words of wisdom to someone who wants to be like you and live there dream of acting... where should they start....what to avoid?
If acting is your calling then I would start with acting classes. I've been in acting classes since I was 14 and I have a BA in theater but I am still training. Then I would audition, read plays, go to plays, go to movies and immerse myself into the craft. A lot of people underestimate the work that goes into being an actor. You have to work! Avoid people trying to change you. Remember who you are and don't compromise your beliefs for anyone. Yes, some change is good but you have to differentiate who has your best interest at heart and who just wants to get paid.

7. What do you want to be known for?
I want to be known as someone who inspires others. It's nice when people tell me that I am a great actress but it means more when someone tells me that I've inspired them. After one of the screenings of Wolf, a woman came up to me and told me that I taught her how to be a better mother. In other words my performance influenced her life. That is the best compliment!

8. We are proud of you...but how proud are you of your husband Ya'Ke Smith?
I am his BIGGEST FAN! I am most proud that Ya'ke has remained true to his craft. He is an artist! He has been advised to change his scripts in order to sell and to write for a specific audience but he doesn't work like that. A true artist works from his or her soul and that is how Ya'ke works -from his soul.
9. Tell us about Ya'Ke's directing.
Ya'ke is the type of director that understands and respects the idea of collaboration. He knows what he wants but is willing to listen and often encourages his cast and crew to share their ideas. He also expects a lot from his actors. We're not his puppets. He expects us to do our jobs so that he can do his job.

10. Tell us about your fellow actors and actress'.
I love and respect them tremendously! They are all so talented! Wolf was challenging and we really helped each each other through the process. I speak to most of them regularly and we're looking forward to seeing each other at the next film festival, The Dallas International Film Festival.

11. Where do you want to go from here?
Well I hope that Wolf plays everywhere and continues to touch people the way that it has so far. I'm also working on my one woman show, "I Surrender". It is about my life as a preacher's kid. We just had a reading of it last week and now we're moving forward. I am thrilled that the award winning actor/ director Akin Babatunde has agreed to direct it. I want to keep working, keep creating and most of all - keep inspiring.
